L.A. Noire, the game that has been released as a PS3 game that requires firmware v3.60 to work, has been patched to work on Kmeaw’s custom firmware 3.55. It seems that Rockstar or Sony fucked up by releasing a game-update packed with a freshly 3.55 eboot instead of a encrypted 3.60 eboot, just like they did with Brink. Now everyone who bought this game, doesn’t have to upgrade their CFW 3.55 to 3.60/3.61 to enjoy this fine new masterpiece

It looks like May 24th will be the day the PlayStation Store reopens for business. Once the PlayStation Store is back up and running, the company plans to do two content releases per week, up to two weeks–a strategy that should help them catch up on the backlog of PSN content. In a letter to developer partners, PSN content manager Jack Osorno said, “We thank you for your patience as we work to resume service of the PlayStation Store”.

Dukio from ps3crunch.net just posted on twitter that his website and domains are hacked and taken control over by the hacker. A hacker stole his domain with his hosting and is now trying to scam visitors by asking for donations. Originally when Brink was released it wasn’t possible to get the backup working on your Playstation 3 because it was released as a game that required firmware 3.60 just like Portal 2. There is an update patched rolled out on creators and this patch “down-patches” the requirement for firmware 3.60 to 3.50. Although the PARAM.SFO still says 3.60, this is easily patchable. Due this patch released it now possible to back up Brink on your CFW’d Playstation
